About ShundorBon: The ShundorBon is the world’s largest mangrove forest with swampy habitat of varying salinity, mangrove composition, large predators on land and in water and hundreds of other flora and fauna. Majestic tiger, charming deer, enormous crocodiles, sneaky monkeys, numerous species of birds and disparate vegetation have made this diversity rare in the world. With these flourishing and endangered species, the ShundorBon is indeed a Treasure island of biodiversity. This magical mangrove forest is situated along the South-Western coastline of the Bay of Bengal. The ShundorBon is the home of the Royal Bengal Tiger, one of the most graceful and rare species animals on earth . The Bengal Tiger inhabits in the grasslands, swamps and forests, where it is well camouflaged by its striped coat varying from saffron red to washed brown. They are the National Animal of Bangladesh. The most exquisite is the Chital Deer, which inhabits mostly in the southern sea -facing meadows. The elusive Barking deer is characterized by its dog-like barking.
